At the Liann Bordeau-Buck Memorial Foundation, we believe that the first step in donating to a cause is understanding all the elements that it embodies. The following FAQ's provide students with facts about the scholarship program as well as how donations can be made to help make a difference in the lives of others. We’ve compiled a list of answers to common queries in order to make your experience with us all the more pleasant.
WHEN CAN I BEGIN THE SCHOLARSHIP APPLICATION?
You can begin your application on October 1, 2023 for the 2023/2024 school year.
The deadline for the application is Sunday, April 24, 2022

WHO IS ELIGIBLE TO APPLY FOR THE LIANN BORDEAU-BUCK SCHOLARSHIP?
All Berkshire County public high school seniors who have an interest in pursuing science education and an ongoing commitment to community service; Be accepted to an accredited four-year college or post secondary institution in the United States for a degree in science; Have a demonstrated commitment to school, extracurricular activities and community service; Have a solid academic record demonstrated by a minimum overall GPA of 3.0 on a 4.0 scale. HOW MUCH MONEY DOES LIANN BORDEAU-BUCK MEMORIAL FOUNDATION DISTRIBUTE TO EACH STUDENT AWARD RECIPIENT?
Each student award recipient receives a $1,000 scholarship
DOES LIANN BORDEAU-BUCK MEMORIAL FOUNDATION DISTRIBUTE RECURRING SCHOLARSHIPS TO PREVIOUS AWARDEES?
Currently, scholarships are only available to students entering their first year of post-secondary education. However, the Foundation is committed to offering recurring scholarships to students in the near future. Check back in with us periodically for our latest scholarship plans.
HOW CAN THOSE INTERESTED IN HELPING THE LIANN BORDEAU-BUCK MEMORIAL FOUNDATION GET INVOLVED?
There are two ways you can assist the Foundation in its work. Firstly, volunteer to help us on our fund raising activities. To do so, simply send us an email at inquiry@liannbordeau-buck foundation.org and one of our helpful Board members will get back to you. The other way you can assist is by donating to the scholarship fund. Simply click on the Donate now button.
HOW CAN I, OR MY ORGANIZATION BECOME A SPONSOR OF A LIANN BORDEAU-BUCK MEMORIAL FOUNDATION EVENT?
